Meet the Tracers.

August 12, 2013

Prashant Shahane, the leader of our growing 3D Department, joined the Trace team in January. In his short time here, he’s made his presence felt. We caught up with Prashant to discuss his style of work and how 3D is becoming one of Trace’s core offerings.

How do you like working at Trace?

The environment at Trace is awesome. Having the freedom to choose your own style of work keeps us empowered and leads to quality results.

What are your day-to-day responsibilities?

I manage work allocation within our 3D team. This group includes a growing number of CG generalists with a wide range of skills.

Every day, my mission is to ensure that team members’ individual goals align with Trace’s project goals. Doing so keeps my staff motivated and helps Trace deliver high-quality work.

What are some of the services offered by the 3D department?

Trace’s 3D department creates 3D animatics, TV commercials for developing markets, and various 3D assets.

How is working at Trace different than some of your previous jobs?

Working at Trace is really refreshing. The culture is amazing, as everyone is empowered to learn new ideas and discover approaches you may not consider otherwise. I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like this.

How do you see Trace’s 3D department growing and developing over the next few years?

Our 3D team is new, but the team members are experienced and competent. With that foundation in place, we spend our days exploring ways to strengthen our approach and improve the quality of work. I anticipate our team progressing steadily over the next few years, helping Trace make a name for itself in the 3D world.
